Pune: A team of students representing Bharati Vidyapeeth's New Law College, Pune wins 6th Surana & Surana & University Institute of Legal Studies National Environment Law Moot Court Competition, 2023 organized by Punjab University, Chandigarh .By showing their stupendous advocacy skills, they also bagged the trophies for Best Overall Speaker- Atharve Mohan Tiwari, Best Speaker in Final Rounds- Ishika and the 4th Best Memorial Award.
Atharve Mohan Tiwari(B.B.A. LL.B 3rd Year) Ishika (B.A.LL.B 3rd Year) and Arundhathi G (B.A.LL.B 3rd Year) had participated in the competition.The moot proposition was based on International Environmental Laws, and 32 teams from all over India participated in the competition.Dr Ujwala Bendale,Dean & In Charge Principal, New Law College congratulated students.
The team from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) ’s New Law College, Pune won hearts of all the judges in all the rounds by showcasing their exceptional performances, and thus receiving special words of honour from each one of them. Mr. Pritam Surana, Partner & Head Operations, Surana & Surana Attorney Generals, specially mentioned the excellence of our College and thereby stated "College is very good and is growing at a good pace. I wish the best for this college."
The team had constant support and guidance of the Dean & I/C Principal, Dr Ujwala Bendale, Patron, Moot Court Society, BVDU’s New Law College, Pune.College also thanks Ms. Jeffy A. Jacob and the Moot Court Society of New Law College for guiding and helping the team.
Dr Bendale congratulated the team for their hard work and dedication, and motivated them to strive for excellence in the upcoming moot court competitions.
